Using the Extract filter,

This is a simple technique but very effective.

First open the image and duplicate it by dragging it over the create new layer icon at the bottom of the layers palette. Then fill the background layer (the bottom layer) with white Edit>Fill and select white.

  Next select the top layer and open the extract filter, Filter>extract

Select the edge highlight tool choose a small pen size, carefully draw around the entire image before filling it.

Finally click OK and see the results:-
