I took this during the 'Soldiers of the Roses' re-enactment of the War of the Roses at Aydon Castle, Northumberland. The group dressed up in period costume and put on numerous displays within the grounds of the fortified manor house.

I used flash on camera to fill in the shadows of the lady but reduced its intensity so that it did not become the dominant light source and kill off the atmosphere.
