Shotley Bridge snow scene.

Shotely Bridge is my home village in County Durham. There are some great and interesting walks around the River Derwent, and this is one of them. During my Christmas holidays in 2005 we had several snow storms, this was taken on a walk after one of them.

The top image is a digital pseudo colour infra red image. Taken originally as a colour file then converted in photoshop. I used the image>adjust>select colour to reproduce the coloured infra red effect. 

The bottom image is a more traditional monochrome infra red image. I used a IR dark red filter and polarizing filter at the taking stage, and used channel mixer in photoshop to increase the pseudo image.
