All Saints’ Church is located in the centre of the village of Little Stretton. It was built in 1903 as a ‘chapel of ease’ to serve the village and be part of the parish. It celebrated its centenary in October 2003. Standing in its own large garden, both the church and site were given to the village by a local landowner. The church features striking black and white walls under a charming thatched roof.

Little Stretton, Shropshire.

Just south of Church Stretton, lying snug between the hills on what used to be the main road to Ludlow before it was by-passed, is the village of Little Stretton, now a quiet backwater unruffled by the rush of modern life and modern traffic. To the east are the steep wooded slopes of Ragleth, to the west rises the plateau of the Long Mynd.

I was disapointed that the church was locked as I'm sure it would be as interesting on the inside as it is on the outside.
