Can I take your photograph?

This image was taken at the Whitby Goth Festival in October 2006. It is a great weekend when the whole town is taken over by Goths from all over the UK and further a field.

Almost a straight image, the man happily allowed me to take his photograph, and when I asked him to do something with his arms to show off his costume he improvised with this 'welcoming gesture'. I thanked him took this photo and promptly put him on a better background.
