Canada Goose (Branta canadensis)

A large goose, with a distinctive black head and neck and large white throat patch. It has successfully spread since its introduction from N. America to cover most of the UK. It forms noisy flocks and is often regarded as a nuisance in areas where large numbers occur on amenity grassland and parks. 

This one was stumbled upon at Belsay Hall, Northumberland. It saw me before I saw it but luckily had my camera in hand and managed to take this as it made its escape.
