Beach close up,

A simple set of close ups on a pebble beach, I am always surprised and pleased with the range of images that can be created when pointing a lens onto familiar but rarely observed things, and beaches are well worth a visit.

These were all taken at Robin Hood's Bay, North Yorkshire, but could be anywhere. I was attracted to the range of rock types and more importantly the range of colours and texture. It was then a simple matter of isolating a group of stones to form an interesting image. Most of these images were entirely natural groupings but I have occasionally assisted in moving or swapping the odd stone!
